15. REMOVAL
OF
GEAR
SHIFTER
HOUSING, GEAR SHIFTER AND
SELECTOR CABLE:
1. Ensure the gear lever in neutral condition.
2. Remove Lever knob, washer, cap screw and
base plate. (Refer body section).
3. Remove the central floor console. (Refer body
section).
4. Pry out both the cable lock plates and remove
the cables from assembly gear shift housing.
5. Detach the selector cable and shift cable end
from select lever ball. (Unlock yellow clip
before Disassembly).
6. Unscrew the four bolts of gear shifter lever
housing to remove it.
7. Pry out the shifter and selector cable ends from
the transaxle housing.
Slightly puts the wings by a finger and move
upward cable end fitting.
8. Pull out the plunger from transaxle cable and
remove it from the transaxle cable anchoring
bracket.
CAUTION:
Pulling the cable end Fittings without unlocking the
slider would bend the rod and damage the cable
Assembly.
