2.2 Illuminated Ignition Switch (Key Hole) – Parallel to Roof Lamp

Description

The key hole shall be illuminated, for better visibility for the driver to insert or remove or change position of

the ignition key. The key slot on the ignition switch is accommodated with a LED. The key hole shall be

illuminated by BCM when the vehicle is unlocked and the driver door/Co-Driver door is opened. The LED

shall stay ON until the predefined time or till sometime after the driver and the co-Driver doors are closed or

until the ignition is made ON.

NOTE:

Refer the ‗Roof Lamp‘ functionality (Section 2.1) as the key hole LED will be connected in parallel

with the roof lamps hence the separate driving of the key hole LED will not be required.

2.3 Cockpit Illumination Control

2.3.1 Description

The Cockpit illumination shall be activated when the headlamps or position lamps are switched ON. The

BCM shall illuminate the LEDs on the cockpit.. The cockpit includes infotainment, Instrument Panel, Drive

Mode Switch such that they control their own LEDs to obtain the harmony of the lighting effect.

No cockpit dimming function is available in Q501 vehicle .

2.2.2 Conditional Requirements

Activation –

Headlamps or position lamps are switched ON.

Deactivation –

Headlamps or position lamps are switched OFF.

Tell-tale Indication –

•Backlight illumination on IC comes ON

On Fault –

Respective DTC logged.
