2.2. AUTO LIGHT – Position lamp and Head lamp
2.2.1 Description
BCM gets the auto light activation input either from the master light switch or from the combination switch or
from a separate switch on facia. BCM shall communicate with the LIN based light sensor and shall activate
the low beam and the position lamps as per the signals from light sensor. Light sensor sends the light
information to BCM, all the time it is active. BCM shall analyze the data and act accordingly.
2.2.2 Conditional Requirements
Activation –
Ignition is RUN/CRANK position &
Auto Mode is selected &
Light sensor detects dark.
Deactivation –
Ignition is OFF or
Auto Mode is not sleeted
Tell-tale Indication –
• ON state indication?
On Fault –
Respective DTC logged.
