11.6.4. SERVICING OF HEATER ASSEMBLY
1. Remove screws & bracket fitted on heater.
2. Remove screws of Omega clamps and
remove clamp to make the pipes loose so that
Heater core can be separated from pipes.
PRECAUTIONS:
Take care to retain the O-rings on the two pipes.
Care should be taken while taking heater core
outside because there are chances that hot
coolant inside heater core may come out.
ASSEMBLY
1. Push new heater core inside HVAC unit till it
is stopped by extreme opposite end.
2. Put Heater inlet and outlet pipes with O ring
mounted inside the Heater core openings
3. Assemble Omega clips on the flange of heat
pipes and Heater core.
4. Assemble 2 washers with screws so that
Heater core will not come out.
5. Assemble pipe champ with screws so that
pipes will not rattle.
6. Start the engine and check the leakage at the
joint between Heater pipes and Heater core.
11.6.5 SERVICING FILTER
1. Remove the one screw to detach the filter
cover.
2. After removing screw, move filter cover and
then take it out.
3. Hold the strip and pull the filter as shown in
Fig.
