9.6.2 REMOVAL AND REFITMENT
HOOD LATCH CABLE REMOVAL
1. Open the bonnet hood and support it on stay
rod.
2. Remove the bonnet lock (Refer R+R of
bonnet lock)
3. Pull out the cable from the lock assembly.
4. Pull out the second cable through the fire wall
from passenger compartment.
5. Unscrew the hood latch release lever from the
body shell,
REFITMENT
1. Fix the cable to the hood latch lever and
mount the release lever to the body
2. Insert the cable through the firewall from the
passenger cabin lead.
3. Fit the cable end to the intermediate link and
position it over the RH head lamp support
member
assembly.
4. Fix another cable to the other end of
intermediate link.
5. Fix the other end of cable to the bonnet lock
end and mount it over the cooling module.
