9.6 SECURITY AND LOCKS
9.6.1 REMOVAL OF BONNET LOCK
1. Remove the 2 Nos. of Mounting screws.
2. Put the mounting plate on front tie member.
3. Remove the cable cover in the groove.
4. Pull out the cable from the hook. c) Take out
the lock plate.
FITMENT OF BONNET LOCK
1. Insert the cable in the hook.
2. Also insert the cable cover in the groove.
5. Fix the mounting plate on front tie member.
6.
Tighten the 2 mounting screws to specified
torque
7. Operate the bonnet opening lever from inside
and ensure that the bonnet pops up properly,
if not loosen the mounting bolts and move
the lock in the oval slots provided in the
mounting holes, so that it opens properly.
6.
Apply the recommended grease to the
sliding plates and cable.
