CLASSIFICATIONANDALLOCATIONOF THRUST
WASHERS
The selection of thrust washers for the centre main
journal should be made using reference 3 in the
diagram (i.e. R for the normal size, RM for a 0.127
mm oversize), therefore the selection should be made
using the crankshaft end float measured previously.

NOTE :
Piston grade code located at (1) may be: A - B - C or
AM - BM - CM for oversize pistons.
The arrow (2) shows the timing side.
Area where the number of the matching cylinder liner
is stamped and is indicated by (3) in the fig. above.
1. Fit the
tool (1) 287158900628 (Flange).
2. Turn the crankshaft using the tool fitted previously.
3. Fit the connecting rod-piston assemblies and align
in accordance with the following references.
