I. ASSEMBLY FILLER NECK COMPLETE:
The fuel tank filler neck is a long tube that goes down
to the center of the gas tank. It is also equipped with
breath line.
REMOVAL:
1) Relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect
the negative battery cable.
2) Remove the fuel filler cap from the fuel tank.
3) Use a hand operated pump device to drain as
much fuel through the fuel filler neck as possible.
4) Reinstall the fuel filler cap.
5) Remove the rear seat cushion from vehicle (if so
equipped).
6) Disconnect the Mating Electrical connector on tank
unit under rear seat carpet.
7) Raise and safely support the vehicle.
8) Remove the fuel filler hose clamp from the filler
neck assembly.
9) Remove the fuel breather hose clamp from the
filler neck assembly.

A small amount of fuel may be released dur-
ing repair work. To avoid the chance of injury, cover
the pipe to be disconnected with cotton cloth. Do
not use cotton waste.
11)Loosen the filler pipe mounting bolts.
12)
Take out the filler pipe.
INSTALL:
1) Reconnect all fuel hoses, lines and the fuel
breather hose to the fuel tank.
2) Install the fuel breather hose and hose clamp to
the filler neck assembly.
3) Lower the vehicle. Connect the Mating Electrical
connector on tank unit under rear seat carpet.
4) Install the rear seat cushion. Reconnect the nega-
tive battery cable
