1.7.3 GENERAL SYMPTOMS AND DIAGNOSTICS

1 HEAD LAMPS HIGH/LOW BEAM

CONDITION

POSSIBLE CAUSE

CORRECTION/REFERENCE ITEM

Single head lamp (RH or

LH) not working

1. Grounding point loose

Tighten grounding properly

2. Head Lamp 10 pole connector

loose

Fix connector properly

3. High/Low beam terminal

(Pink/Blue wire) has come off the

8 pin connector

Insert the terminal into the connector

properly

4. HL Low Beam 15A Fuse or HL

High Beam 15A Fuse in Engine

F/R Box blown

Replace the fuse

5. HL Low Beam Relay(20A) or

HL High Beam Relay(20A) in

Engine F/R Box loose

Fix the relay properly

6. High/Low beam filament in the

bulb blown

Replace bulb

Both lamps not working

1. Head lamp ON Relay (20A) in

engine F/R Box loose

Fix the relay properly

2. Connectors at combi-switch

loose

Fix the connectors properly

3. High / Low beam switch in

combi-switch faulty

Replace combi-switch

4. BCM connector loose.

Fix the connector properly.

High beam does not come

on when flash switch is

activated

1. Combi Switch connector loose Fix the connector properly

2. Flash switch faulty

Replace combi-switch

2 FRONT FOG LAMP (HIGH END) CONTROLLED BY BCM

CONDITION

POSSIBLE CAUSE

CORRECTION/REFERENCE ITEM

Single LAMP not working

1. Grounding point loose

Tighten grounding properly

2. Bulb fused

Replace bulb

3. No output from BCM

Refer BCM Diagnosis

Both lamps not working

1.Fog lamp fuse (10A) in cabin

F/R box blown

Check for short in the circuit and then

replace the fuse
