1.5L REVOTORQ ENGINE

vi. AC COMPRESSOR, ALTERNATOR BELT

REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL

1. Lift the vehicle and remove the RH side front

mud liner.

(For procedure refer body section).

2. Insert the alternator belt removal special tool

(part no. 5427 5890 0602)

as shown and

rotate the crankshaft pulley in clockwise

direction to pop out the belt; then remove the

alternator belt.

3. Insert the AC compressor belt removal special

tool

(part no. 5438 5890 0601)

as shown and

rotate the crankshaft pulley in anticlockwise

direction to pop out the belt. Remove the AC

compressor belt.

REFITMENT

1. Place the AC compressor belt on the

compressor pulley.

2. Place the other end of AC compressor belt on

damper pulley.

3. Place the panel popper tool as shown in fig. &

rotate the damper pulley in clockwise

direction.

4. Take out panel popper tool.

5. Place the stretch belt on the alternator pulley.
