28.14. REAR VIEW CAMERA

The rear-view camera is usually wired to automatically sense the transmission is set in reverse, and it shows

the rear view while the car is in reverse .Camera module with compact housing to be mounted on the rear

rub rail by using a holder and bracket, in order to transmit a video signal of the desired area to an external

display.

The display in the TFT is configured to switch on automatically, as soon as a video signal has been received.

The camera covers a very broad visual range: Up to 92 degrees vertical and 124 degrees horizontal. Hence

it is possible to see the road directly behind the vehicle. Simultaneously both outer edges of the bumper can

be seen. The rear view camera has considerable night-view capabilities, so that even standard reversing

lamps provide sufficient light to convey a clear image of the area behind the vehicle on the TFTdisplay
