8.2 COMPONENTS OF TOD

The TOD System consists of following

components:

1. Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

2. Transfer Case with primary electric clutch and

secondary mechanical clutch.

3. Momentary switch with 4x2 mode Indicator

lamp.

4. TOD Warning Lamp.

5. Harness to connect the above parts and power

input.

6. Gerotor Pump.

7. Clutch Coil.

VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF TOD

A. ECU

I.

GENERAL

Battery voltage at the ignition input will activate the

ECU.

The ECU monitors various inputs through

CAN and distributes the torque as per the vehicle

requirements. The ECU achieves this by regulating

the current to the clutch coil, which then

mechanically controls the torque distribution to the

front axle.

II. LOCATION

TOD Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is located in the

Co-driver side on to the tunnel nearer to the fire

wall.
