Measure the counter shaft bearing projection

over housing face. Consider this as “U”. Let this

projection be 4.50 mm.

Calculate the difference between “T” & “U”. Let it

be “V”.

V = T – U

V = 4.75 – 4.50 mm

V = 0.25 mm

Thickness of shim required to maintain the pre-

load of 0.03 to 0.06mm

= V + 0.05

= 0.25 + 0.05 mm

= 0.30 mm

23.Apply adhesive gasket eliminator over front cov-

er face and fit it over the housing and put the

hexagonal flanged nuts and tighten the same.

NOTE

New gasket should be fitted in between the mating

surface of front cover and front half housing at the

time of assembly.

24.After shim selection is done. Press the end yoke

over the main shaft rear end. Lock the flange as-

sembly with the special tool (Part No. 2894 5890

35 17) hold the collared hexagonal nut with the

sprocket (Part No. 2698 5890 14 01) and tighten

the same to the torque of 25-28 Kg-m.

(For 4X2

Version only)

NOTE

Stake the collar in undercut with suitable chisel

to secure the nut.

See the condition of collar nut if required replace

the same with new one.

For securing the main shaft nut; collar to be

staked in he slot.

25.Apply adhesive gasket eliminator over top cover

face and fit it over the rear cover and put the

hexagonal flanged nuts and tighten the same.

NOTE

New gasket should be fitted in between the mating

surface of top cover and rear cover at the time of

assembly.
