7. Remove the spring band clamp

to the coolant return line.

8. Loosen and remove the hex

fla

nge bolts

disconne

the EGR pipe

from EGR cooler.

9. Loosen and remove the hex flange bolts to dis-

connect the EGR cooler module

(1)

mounted on

the intake manifold.

FITMENT

For fitment follow reverse procedure of removal.

NOTE

Use new gasket every time and tighten bolts to

specified torque.

CAUTION:

EGR Valve Actuator

Reset

need to be activat-

ed in Diagnostic Tool whenever EGR Valve

Actuator or EGR Module is changed and also

in case of some EGR module learning related

faults.

17. EGR COOLER BYPASS VALVE (VACUUM

SOLENOID VALVE):

The EGR Cooler Bypass valve is an electro pneu-

matic solenoid switch, which is controlled precisely

by the EMS ECU based on the Engine speed,

Coolant Temperature and Accelerator pedal posi-

tion etc. Vacuum solenoid valve provides variable

vacuum levels to drive EGR.

LOCATION

REMOVAL

1. Remove engine cover.

2. Disconnect all the hose connections & electrical

connection from the Vacuum solenoid valve.

3. Remove the mounting bolts of vacuum solenoid

valve & take out the vacuum solenoid valve from

its location.

REFITMENT

1. Fit the Vacuum solenoid valve on the mounting

bracket.

2. Tighten its two mounting bolts.

3. Connect the hose connections & electrical con-

nector.
