SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS)

CLOCK SPRING ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE

CAUTION

If this alignment is not done the clock spring may get

severely damage.



Rotate the clock spring rotor in anticlockwise di-

rection till it reaches the maximum limit of rota-

tion.



Turn the clock spring in clockwise direction for 2.5

rotations from this extreme position. This will be

the straight ahead position of the clock spring.



The straight ahead position of the clock spring

can be confirmed by the colored strip in the indi-

cator wheel.



Assemble the clock spring in this position.
