8. ORVM FOLD/UNFOLD CONTROL

Description:

BCM controls the ORVM fold and Unfold operations.

Conditional Requirements:

Activation –

Whenever IGN is ON and Mirror Fold/Unfold switch is pressed.

When switch is pressed down (switch is closed to electrical GND) then BCM activates fold operation.

When switch is pressed up (switch is made open) then BCM activates unfold operation.

De-activation –

When IGN is made OFF or

When there is no input or

BCM senses the motor stall current

On-fail –

BCM will not activate Fold/Unfold operations

When it does not receive switch inputs due to switch failure or related wiring harness issue. Or

When there is some internal hardware failure.

Motors can’t be operated even if there is motor failure or related wiring harness issue. (Related DTCs will

get registered).

BCM will activate mirrors continuously even if motors have reached fold/unfold when there is some internal

Hardware failure. (Driver IC short). (Related DTCs will get registered)
