6. PERIMETRIC ALARM

6.1 Description

In this system, all door ajar switches are monitored to identify any theft condition on the vehicle. On detection

of any unauthorized access, the BCM trigger the horn (acoustic alarm) and optical alarm by flashing the turn

indicators.

6.2 Conditional Requirements

Three modes are available:

1. Disarm – when vehicle is in unlock condition

2. Pre-arm - Once the vehicle is locked with remote, and for 15 seconds.

3. Arm – Starts after the completion of pre-arm mode timer.

Alarm Triggering Condition

When any unauthorized entry (e.g. Door opened/ invalid key) is detected in Armed state, then the Optical

alarm (turn indicators) and Acoustic Alarm (Horn) get triggered. These alarm trigger indicates that the

theft condition has occurred on a vehicle.

Deactivation

BCM shall deactivate the anti-theft alarm monitoring system when the vehicle is in Disarm state. Vehicle

enters into Disarm mode when the RKE unlock command is given or by providing the valid transponder

key is detected in the IGN ON position.
