Engine Limp Home signal-Signal not valid

Customer Symptom

Engine is in Limp home mode. Max engine speed is limited to

threshold rpm

Fault Effects (On Vehicle)

Engine is in Limp home mode. Max engine speed is limited to

threshold rpm

Lamp Status (If Any)

Transmission warning lamp is OFF

Fault Detection Condition

When TCU receives the EMS Recovery signal as Limp Home

(Pedal) (EMS Recovery= 4)

Normal Operating Condition

TCU receives the EMS recovery signal as Normal Mode

(EMS Recovery= 0)

Probable Trouble Area

Fault at throttle pedal assembly

Healing Condition

200ms after detection of valid EMS Recovery signal

Trouble Shooting: -

Read the dtc in EMS ECU

Follow the troubleshooting steps given in EMS ECU for this DTC.

After rectification, ensure the following points using TML diagnostic tool before handing over to customer.

DTC should not be in current state.
