Procedure to read Vehicle specific information’s from existing / faulty Instrument

Cluster

Connect “On Board Diagnostics”

Cable to Diagnostics Connector

Turn Ignition Key On

Start

Start communication with Instrument Cluster

Select Instrument Cluster option in main menu

Read Distance Traveled information -

“Main Odometer Value” and record

Refer Instrument Cluster Diagnostics user manual

Stop communication with Instrument Cluster

Turn Ignition Key Off

Disconnect “On Board Diagnostics” Cable

from Diagnostics connector

End

The following activities will be completed internally,

once “Start communication” command is given.

Start Instrument Cluster Diagnostics Session

Request Security Access Key

Enter Security Access Key

Read Cluster Option Content -

“Domestic” or “Export” and record.
