REFITMENT:

1. Place the battery in plastic tray.

2. Assemble the battery side clamps in corre-

sponding slots on assembly battery try (

sheet-

metal

).

3. Place the battery top clamp on battery by

matching two holes with side clamps.

4. Fit the two mounting nuts on both side clamps

and two Dome cap nuts on both side.

Tightening Torque of both nuts – 2.2 Kgfm

5. Place the BDU

(Battery Distribution Unit)

on the

positive terminal of battery aligning battery ter-

minal with battery pole.

6. Align the clamps with profile guide & press the

fuse holder on the both side until lock with bat-

tery.

7. Tight the mounting nut of positive terminal of

battery.

8. Place the BDU cover.

9. Connect the negative terminal of battery.

charged frequently

Leakage current is high due to

extra accessories fitted on the

vehicle.

Measure the leakage current. If it is greater

than 15 mA, disconnect the idle power con-

suming accessories.

Battery not getting

charged

Alternator belt loose

Tighten belt

Battery terminals loose

Tighten the terminals

Battery terminals corroded

Clean the terminals

Alternator voltage regulator set-

ting wrong

Check alternator output voltage. It should be

between 14.25 V and 14.75 V. Otherwise re-

place the regulator with a genuine spare.

Idle speed of engine too low

Adjust engine idle speed
