10.6.5 FRONT (RH) REMOTE SENSING UNIT

(RSU)

NOTE

:

Perform replacement procedure of impact

sensor when engine is cold otherwise it

may cause personal injury.

Removal

1. Disconnect battery.

2. Disconnect air intake hose.

3. Disconnect electrical connector of front

remote sensing unit.

4. Remove mounting bolt of front remote

sensing unit located at front RH crash

member and take the unit out.

NOTE: (Applicable to LH and RH unit / sensor)

1. Impact sensors cannot be checked on

multimeter.

2. If the sensor fails or does not

communicate properly with ECU or not

connected properly, then Air Bag Warning

lamp will get ON (placed in instrument

cluster). This can be examined using

diagnostics tester

3. Pin out details of Impact sensor:

Installation

1. Locate the sensor using the locator. Ensure

that the locator is not broken. Tighten

mounting nut of impact sensor to specified

torque. (1.0 Kgm)

2. Reconnect electrical connector of impact

sensor.

3. Reconnect air intake hose.

4. Reconnect battery.

10.6.6 FRONT (LH) REMOTE SENSING UNIT

(RSU)

NOTE:

Perform replacement procedure of impact

sensor when engine is cold otherwise it may

cause personal injury.

Removal

1. Disconnect battery.

2. Remove two mounting fasteners of coolant

reservoir and park the reservoir aside

Installation

NOTE:

Pin out details for Front (LH) Remote Sensing

Unit (RSU) are same as that of Front (RH)

Remote Sensing Unit (RSU)

1. Locate the sensor using the locator. Ensure

that the locator is not broken. Tighten

mounting nut of impact sensor to specified

torque. (1.0 Kgm)

2. Reconnect electrical connector of impact

sensor.

3. Mount coolant reservoir properly and tighten

both mounting fasteners.

4. Reconnect battery.
