9.10. HOOD / FENDER / DOORS
9.10.1 R+R OF BONNET HOOD
REMOVAL:
a) Remove the connection for windshield
washer from the connector.
b) Unscrew and remove the 4 mounting bolts (2
in LH and 2 in RH)
c) Lift and take out the bonnet.
FITMENT:
For installation follow the same procedure in
reverse order but tighten all the mounting bolts to
the specified torque. Ensure that the bonnet hood
is locking smoothly and also ensure that the
flushness is maintained .Check the condition of
stay rod grommet and replace if damaged. Check
the condition of hood inside lining and replace if
soiled or torn
HOOD INSULATION:
REMOVAL:
a) Open the bonnet and support it on the stay
rod.
b) Remove the intercooler duct (if installed)
from the bonnet after unscrewing its four
bolts as shown in
c) Remove the 18 clips that support the hood
insulation to the hood shell and remove it
FITMENT:
a) Hold the hood insulation on the hood panel
inner and align it properly
b) Fix the hood insulation to the inner panel
c) Finally fix the 18 numbers of hood insulation
clips to hold the hood insulation to the inner
panel firmly.
d) Fit the intercooler duct to the bonnet and
tighten its bolts.
