6.9.1.3 INSTALLATION OF REAR SHOCK

ABSORBER AND COIL SPRINGS:

1.

Refit the shock absorber top mounting

fasteners with new nylon nut in the luggage

compartment and tighten to 2.5 to 3 kgm

Torque as shown in Figure.

2.

Fit and rotate the top rubber with the coil

spring.

3.

Position the coil spring assembled to top

rubber over the torsion beam such that the coil

spring lower paint mark coincides with the

torsion beam spring pad paint mark as shown

in Fig.

4.

Raise the torsion beam using hydraulic jack so

that the coil spring gets compressed and shock

absorber sits exactly over torsion beam

properly.

5.

Refit and Torque Rear Shock Absorber Bottom

Fastener.( as per torque table).

6.

Refit the rear wheels.

7.

Remove the Car from 2 Post Lift.
