E. FUEL FILTERREPLACEMENT PROCEDURE :
1. Disconnect the fuel sediment connector and
unscrew the water sensor (01)
2. Disconnect the Delivery line (02) coming from tank.
3. Disconnect theHigh pressure delivery line (03) from
filter to pump.
4. Disconnect the return line (04)
5. Loosen the fasteners (05) and remove the fuel filter
assembly (06)
6. Replace the fuel filter with a new one and follow
the reverse procedure for assembly.
DISCHARGINGWATER FROM FUEL FILTER
Water needs to be drained every time the water in
filter indicator turns ON to indicate the presence of
water in the filter. This usually occurs when the water
collected in the filter reaches a pre-determined vol-
ume.
To discharge the water, proceed as follows:

To discharge the water, proceed as follows:

1. With turned off engine, put a tube on the plastic
line (01) that juts out the upper part of the drain
device.
2. Partially unscrew, with an appropriate tool, the
discharge cock (02). Do not pull out the device
from where it is inserted.
3. Do a “key-on” without turning on the engine. This
is done to put the filter under pressure.
4. When the discharge is done, check that quantity
of discharged liquid is between 75cc and 80cc.
5. Close the device with appropriate torque as per
drawing.
FUEL FILTERMAINTENANCE :
1. Replace the filer element regularly at recommended
intervals.
2. Use clean Cloth of wiping the components. DO
NOT USE COTTONWASTE.
3. Remove water fromBleed valve on top face of filter.
Refer Engine manual for procedure.
4. Vent air from the system after replacement of fil-
ter element.
5. Always use ONLY recommended and genuine fuel
filter cartridge
