3. Remove the Cylinder Head attaching bolts

along with the washers, starting from the ends

of the cylinder head and working inwards to

the center. (Refer the loosening sequence)

4. To dislocate cylinder head, use a soft mallet

or dead-blow hammer to break the head free

from the block, if necessary.

5. Place the cylinder head on the dismantling

table.

Assemblies

NOTE

Gently unscrew the tappet setting screw to

relieve the spring load, before dismantling

the rocker shaft.

To avoid damage to valve tips, do not

rotate the camshaft.

1. Remove the Rocker Shaft Holder Screw, from

the camshaft bearing block.

2. Carefully drive the rocker shafts out of the

cylinder head using a suitable hammer and

drift.

NOTE

When removing the rocker shafts, collect

the rocker arms, springs, and seats, noting

the specific location of each component.
