2.1.2.3 ON VEHICLE PROCEDURES

A. ENGINE REMOVAL

1. Remove the engine cover.

2. Disconnect the battery connections

(First nega-

tive terminal and then positive terminal)

and

remove the battery.

Refer ‘Battery removal’ in

Electrical

section.

3. Disconnect the Engine ECU connector.

4. Remove the following components referring to

their respective Section in this order:

a. Bonnet – Body.

b. Wiper arms – Electrical.

c. Leaf screen – Body.

d. Wiper Motor – Electrical.

e. Plenum cover – Body.

f. Plenum Bracket –Body.

g. Bonnet Latch and bracket.

h. Power steering reservoir (refer steering sec-

tion)

5. Drain the coolant and remove the Radiator along

with Condenser, Fan Shroud and header tank.

(For procedure refer Radiator removal in cooling

system section)

.

6. Remove Air filter assembly.

(For procedure refer

Air filter assembly removal)

.

7. Disconnect the hose from the throttle adaptor end

which is connected to the intercooler.

8. Remove the Front Anti-roll bar.

(For procedure

refer suspension section)

.

9.

Recover the refrigerant from AC system using

suitable equipment’s. (Refer regular maintenance

section in HVAC)

10.Disconnect the refrigerant lines

(Low pressure

line)

and

(High pressure line)

of the AC Com-

pressor.

(Follow the necessary instructions).

11.Disconnect the heater lines.

(Follow the neces-

sary instructions).

12.Disconnect the vacuum lines from vacuum pump

to Brake booster side “T” Connector on the fire

wall and from vacuum solenoid valve to NRV on

the firewall.
