PROPELLER

SHAFT

FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT

REMOVAL

1. Remove the Stone guard rear piece.

(For stone

guard removal procedure refer Body section)

2. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts of

bearing straps on the front axle side.

3. Properly support the propeller shaft.

4. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts for

bearing strap on the transfer case side.

5. Carefully separate the propeller shaft from the

vehicle.

FITMENT

For fitment follow the reverse procedure of

removal.

NOTE

Follow all the precautions and safety instructions

mentioned under rear propeller shaft (4X4) fitment.

TVD

(TORSIONAL VIBRATION DAMPERS)

LOCATION

TVD is used to reduce the torsional vibration and it

is located between propeller shaft and rear axle

differential flange.

REMOVAL

1. Hoist the vehicle on two a poster lift.

2. Lift the vehicle

3. Loosen and remove four nuts and disconnect

the rear end of the propeller shaft from rear axle

end.

4. Take out the TVD.

FITMENT

For fitment follow the reverse procedure of

removal.
