4.5.1.3.4 HUB BEARING REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
Remove the bearing from the hub assembly using
the special tools as shown in the below arrangement.
1.
Place the hub assembly on the support

No. 287058903318)
NOTE
First align the hub assembly on the support (2)
(Part
No. 287058903318)
by ensuring the grooves of the
support are matching with that of hub assembly.
2. Then press the
drift (1) (Part No. 287058903317)
for removing the bearing
(3)
from the hub
assembly.
NOTE
Discard the removed bearing and use the new one
for assembly.
INSTALLATION
Install the new bearing in the hub by using the same
special tool used for removal in addition of another
installer ring
(2)
as shown in the below arrangement.
1.
Place the hub assembly on the support (3)
(Part
No. 287058903318).
NOTE
For fitment rotate the support (3) (Part No.
287058903318) upside down and place the hub
assembly on the same in the opposite direction of
removal as shown in the figure above.
2. Place the bearing on the hub assembly.
3. Place the installer ring
(2) (Part No.
287058903319)
on the bearing.
4. Place the drift
(1) (Part No. 287058903317)
as
shown in the figure.
5. Press the drift to install the bearing in the hub
assembly.
