4.2.2Write VIN Number :-
Vehicle identification number is unique for a particular
vehicle . The ECU dispatched along with the vehicle
should contain its identification number.
To enter VIN in the ECU click the button. If VIN
number is already entered there is a authorization
password to re-write the VIN number. Enter the VIN
number and press ‘OK’. The software checks for
the validity of the chassis number. If not valid it
prompts for the valid VIN number, Otherwise write
status is displayed.
4.2.3 Read ECU Information :
On this input the software reads ‘ECU data’ from
the ECU , and displays the decoded Data as :-

4.2.4Read DiagnosticTrouble Codes :-
The ECU scans the harness and records the
Error codes onto its memory . The ECU can
store maximum four Error Codes .The software
reads these Error codes from the ECU and
displays them , with its description.
If there are any errors with the entire AIR BAG
SYSTEM the DIAGNOSTIC UNIT will indicate
these errors and hence corrective action can
be taken accordingly.
For eg.
1. Warning lamp error.
2. Battery voltage error.
3. Over heat error.
4. Accelerometer error.
5. Squib resistance error etc.
