This manual brings to you the technical know-how on
the repairs and overhaul of all versions of TATA
SAFARI, assuming that the workman is fully
conversant with general automobile practices. The
repair procedures outlined in this manual emphasize
the special aspects of the product. This will enable
you to build and maintain a reputation of quality

The manual includes instructions on aggregates
manufactured by Tata Motors. For repair of
proprietary aggregates such as Transfer Case, Rear
Axle, Air Conditioning etc. please refer to the
instructions of the respective proprietary
manufacturers included in this manual. The main
idea behind incorporating these instructions in this
manual is to enable workmen to understand their
functions properly and thus judge the performance
of the vehicle as a whole.
All data contained in this manual is based on the
latest product information available at the time of
publication.
This manual is also applicable to Tata Safari LHD
versions as the basic aggregates are same. In
case of LHD versions only the driving controls and
vehicle electricals are different.
