486 PL ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS USING
BOSCH KTS 300
The Bosch KTS 300 system tester is a
microprocessor controlled diagnostic tester used for
trouble shooting of sensors / actuators of 486 PL
engine.
KTS 300 comprises of
1. Tester
2. Programme Module (Software - 1 687 023 266)
3. Diagnostic Adaptor cable (1 684 463 361)
4. Charger with connecting Cable & 8 pin AMB
plug.
CONNECTING THE DIAGNOSTIC TESTER :
Connect the diagnostic adaptor cable between KTS
300 eight pin plug and vehicle diagnostic connector
provided below co-driver's seat as shown in Fig. 189
Following precautions to be taken while connecting
the diagnostic tester :
l
The vehicle gear box must be in neutral.
l
The connecting cable should not come in contact
with hot engine components.
l
Ignition switch should be in 'OFF' position.
l
Plug in the appropriate programme module
(Software)
l
Ensure proper charging of tester.
