a. CHASSIS NUMBERING SYSTEM FOR
DOMESTIC VEHICLES
Chassis number consists of 15 digits (5 barrels) as
given below :

Chassis number is punched on chassis frame LHS
long members for RHD vehicles and RHS long
member for LHD vehicles chassis type number is
punched in a single line without any gap. Also a
chassis number plate is fixed in the engine
compartment.
