Replace toner ring if any teeth are missing or

damaged.

Installation of Front wheel speed sensor

1.

Clean speed sensor and its mounting surface.

2.

Anchor both the sensor grommets to the stub

axle & to the long member.

3.

Route the cable properly.

4.

Install the wiring harness connector with wheel

speed sensor cable.

5.

Make sure that the sensor cable connector is

fully seated and locked into vehicle wiring

harness connector. Fig. 22

6.

Insert the sensor into the sensor mounting hole

and fit it to the front stub axle by butting it

against the face on the stub axle and tighten

the bolt to the specified torque. Fig. 21

7.

Check the air gap between the face of the

wheel speed sensor and the top surface of the

toner wheel.

Air gap: 0.35 to 1.65 mm

8.

Road test vehicle to ensure proper operation

of the basic and ABS brake system.
