Remove old hub seal.

Remove six nuts that retains spindle.

Remove brake dust shield. (If fitted)

Remove spindle from steering knuckle by tapping

with soft hammer.

Fig. 16

Note :

Striking the threaded portion will damage

spindle.

Place spindle in a soft - jaw vise.

Remove spindle needle bearing and seal using

Bearing puller Pt. no. 2704 5890 3328.

Cleaning and Inspection

Clean hub and brake disc assembly with a metal

part cleaner.

Inspect parts for wear and damage. If the brake

disc is heavily worn or damaged, Replace brake

disc.

Inspect the bearings and cones for scoring and wear

marks. Replace if required.

Inspect the bearing adjusting nut for lock pin. If pin

found bent or dislodged, Replace nut.

Clean spindle with metal cleaning solvent and dry it.

Inspect the surface on which bearing sits on the

spindle. If found scored. Replace spindle.
