4 PL FUEL SYSTEM
FUEL LEVEL GAUGE (DASHBOARD) :
(FIG. 13).
Removal :
1. Check fuel level gauge on dashboard for operation
as follows
a) Pullout thewiringharness connector on tankunit
under rear seat carpet.
b) Disconnect the connector and check fuel gauge
of cluster. Fuel gauge shows zero(empty) with
ignitionON.
c) By shorting the two wires. Brown and violet of
wiringharness connector the fuel gaugewill show
full.
CAUTION :
l If gauge needle shows full, reconnect wires and
check for fuel tank gauge.
l If needle does not show full check fuse wiring
OK, replace gauge and retest.
