23.Check that the crankshaft end float corresponds
to the recommended figures of 0.055 ~ 0.265
using a magnetic base and dial gauge.
NOTE :
If the value for the crankshaft end float does not
correspond with the recommended figures, use
suitable oversize thrust washers.
24.Remove the crankshaft (1a) complete with rear
oil seal (1b).
25.Remove the upper main journal half-bearings.
26.Remove the bolts (1a) and remove the engine oil
jets (1b).
27.Remove the lower engine block locating bushes.
28.Use an appropriate tool to support the upper
engine block.
29.Unscrew the ret aining bolts and separate the
upper crankcase from the overhaul stand plate.
30.Position the upper crankcase on a suit able
workbench.
