2.1.4.6.2 COMPONENTS

A. VACUUM PUMP

Vacuum Pump supplies vacuum to Brake booster.

This unit is driven by the exhaust cam shaft.

For removal refer Engine overhauling section.

C VACUUM SOLENOID VALVE

The vacuum solenoid valve is an electro pneumatic

solenoid switch, which is controlled by the EMS ECU

based on the Engine speed, Coolant Temperature

and Accelerator pedal position etc. Vacuum solenoid

valve provides variable vacuum levels to operate the

EGR cooler bypass valve.

REMOVAL

1. Remove engine cover.

2. Disconnect all the hose connections & electrical

connection from the vacuum solenoid valve.

3. Remove two mounting bolts of vacuum solenoid

valve & take out the vacuum solenoid valve from

its location.

FITMENT

1. Fit the vacuum solenoid valve on the mounting

bracket.

2. Tighten its two mounting bolts.
