NOTE:

Load should be applied concentric to the bearing axis

to avoid skewing and improper fitting of bearing in

housing.

9. Once the wheel bearing housing along with the

wheel bearing is removed from the flange, use

special tool (Part number - 2834 5890 35 01) for

removing the inner race of wheel bearing from the

flange

Inspection :

1. Inspect wheel bearing for noisy and smooth

operation. Replace if found noisy.

2. Inspect wheel hub unit for any damage. Replace if

found defective.

Following precautions should be taken while

assembly :

(a) Hub cavities should be free from dust, rusting and

other foreign particles.

(b) Handle the bearing with clean and dry hands.

(c) Never use hand gloves while assembling bearing.

(d) Never hammer the bearing while assembly and

disassembly, use suitable press.

(e) All greased parts (bearing) must be protected from

dust.

(f) Complete assembly to be done in burr and dust

free environment.

(g) Lubricate wheel bearing outer surface with oil so

that it gets inserted into wheel bearing housing

easily.

7. Remove internal circlip (04) from wheel bearing

housing with the help of circlip plier.

8. Remove wheel bearing (03) from wheel bearing

housing (02) as follows:

(a) Place the wheel bearing housing on hydraulic

press.

(b) Press the wheel bearing by using special tool

(Part No. 2834 5890 32 01) on hydraulic press and

remove wheel bearing fromwheel bearing housing.
