SUSPENSION SYSTEM

CAUTION:

Before installing shock absorber please see the white

sticker on shock absorber which indicates the correct

side.

RH/LH sticker for

identification

(Colour White)

1. Guide the top part of strut assembly through two

holes on body frame and tighten two nuts to

specified torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR STRUT MOUNTING NUTS ON

BODY FRAME = 2.3 - 2.5 Kg-m

2. Tighten two nuts of strut mounting bracket to

specified torque. Strut assembly may be noisy if

there is any play in the bolts due to wrong

application of torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR STRUT MOUNTING BRACKET

BOLTS = 6.5 - 7 Kg-m

3. Tighten the tie rod ball joint nyloc nut to specified

torque and remove the support given to brake drum

assembly.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR TIE ROD BALL JOINT NYLOC

NUT = 8.6 Kg-m

4. Fix the brake hose clip.

5. Mount wheel(s) and tighten wheel bolts to specified

torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR WHEEL BOLTS = 8 - 8.3 Kg-m

6. Remove supports. Cross check each bolts for

correct torque and then lower the vehicle.

7. Perform wheel alignment. (Refer wheel alignment

procedure/Steering group)

CAUTION:

1. Ensure that brake hose does not twist during

installation.

2. Ensure that the brake hose is tightened fully; loose

brake hose will give noise.

3. Ensure that the Strut components are not fouling

with any other parts near by.

4. Ensure that the spring end is seating correctly on

the spring seat.
