PRECAUTIONS

When reconnecting the wire harness or components,

make sure that connectors and terminals are fully

engaged. Electrical malfunction may occur otherwise.

Test wiring connections by ‘wiggling’ the wires in the

connector (inset). Repair or replace wiring as

necessary.

Dirty, corroded, loose, or damaged terminals/wiring

insulation creates poor connectivity, short circuits,

and other malfunctions. Clean or repair terminals/

wiring as necessary.

Static electricity will damage the vehicle ECU (Engine

Control Unit) and other sensitive components. Avoid

touching the terminals and connectors of sensitive

electrical components.

When testing sensitive components and electrical

circuits with an ohmmeter or voltmeter, make sure

that the probes will not damage the electrical system.

Do not expose the ECU or other sensitive electrical

components to water, heat or shock of any type.

Damage to the component will occur if exposed to

any of these conditions.

When disengaging electrical connectors, never pull

on the wire. Always pull the connector apart by

disengaging the locking tab and pulling on the

connector body. Damage to the wiring or connector

will occur otherwise.
