Refitment of T-MAP sensor

Check the O-ring fitment of the T-MAP sensor.

Refit the screws of the T-MAP sensor by screw

driver.

Refit the T-MAP sensor connector.

Stand Alone Diagnosis

Refer 3.11.5 Trouble Shooting and Diagnosis.

SystemDiagnosis

Use TATAdiagnostic tool.

On vehicle Removal, Inspection & Refitment

Procedure

Removal of T-MAP sensor

Remove the T-MAP sensor connector.

Precaution :

Pull the connector after pressing the lock.

Remove the screws of the T-MAP sensor.

Take out the T-MAP sensor.

Inspection of T-MAP sensor

Check the resistance of T-MAP sensor.

KNOCK SENSOR :

Working Principle:

Knock sensor is directly mounted on the cylinder

block. When knock occurs due to the uncontrolled

combustion, vibrations are generated on the block.

These vibration forces cause a charge transfer and a

voltage is generated by the sensor element. This is

tapped off by contact discs and passed to the ECU

where it is processed.

System Integration:

Sensor is fitted on to block directly so that the structure

borne vibrations generated by the ‘knocking’ can be

detected effectively. This will enable the ECU to limit

the Ignition timing (advance) for optimum efficiency,

without the knock damaging the engine.
