4.0 AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
REMOVAL
AND
RE-FITMENT
ON
VEHICLE:-
Location:
Ambient temperature sensor is mounted under the
bonnet behind the front bumper in RH side.
Function:
The function of sensor is to sense the ambient
temperature and send it to TCU. TCU utilises this
temperature value in a model based algorithm for
clutch temperature modelling.
Removal:
1. Open the front bonnet.
2. Turn the wheel to lock to lock position.
3. Remove all mounting screws of fender liners.
4. Remove fender liners from both sides.
5. Remove all 8 mounting bolts securing front
bumper to the body.
