COIL SPRING

NOTE:

Refer Exploded view of Rear Suspension

Componentsfor removal and installation process.

Removal

1. Remove wheel(s) (Refer wheel removal procedure/

Wheels and Tires group)

2. Raise the vehicle on two post lift.

3. Remove coil spring using coil spring compressor

(Part No. 283458903203).

Inspection

1. Inspect coil spring for cracks, free length,

deformation or damage. Replace if found defective.

1. Align the shock absorber (05) and tighten shock

absorber - upper mounting bolt (11) to specified

torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR SHOCK ABSORBER UPPER

MOUNTING BOLT = 3.5 - 4 kg-m

2. Lift the support up (by lowering hoist) in such a

way that shock absorber - lower mounting bolt aligns

with semi trailing arm frame.

3. Hand tighten shock absorber lower mounting bolt.

4. Remove the support and tighten shock absorber -

lower mounting bolt (07) to specified torque in non-

loaded condition.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR SHOCK ABSORBER LOWER

MOUNTING BOLT = 3.5 - 4 kg-m

5. Mount wheel(s) and tighten wheel bolts to specified

torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR WHEEL BOLTS = 8 - 8.3 Kg-m
