Following are some useful tips to keep underbody

corrosion free :

1. Inspect the car before and after the monsoon for

any possible signs of corrosion.

2. Corrosion can be arrested using a rust-proofing

treatment like waxing e.g. Dinitrol.

3. The exhaust system on the underbody is most

susceptible to corrosion. It is recommended to

recoat it with aluminum paint in case the original

coating is damaged or weathered away.

4. Periodically check the car for any scrapes on the

underbody caused due to speed-breakers or due

to stones. Taking care for the car's paint finish is a

good investment as it not only helps to prevent

the rusting of sheet metal parts but also enhances

the value of the car.
