SUSPENSION

Removal

1. Remove wheel(s) (Refer wheel removal procedure/

Wheels and Tires group) support the brake drum.

2. Remove anti-roll bar.

3. Remove two mounting bolts securing lower arm

assembly to the chassis frame.

4. Loosen a nut securing lower arm to the steering

knuckle and take out lower arm.

Inspection

1. Inspect the lower arm for any mechanical dam-

age.

2. Check the condition of lower arm bushes. Replace

the same if found cut or damaged.

Installation

1. Give proper support to lower arm and tighten two

mounting bolts to specified torque. (Thus securing

lower arm to chassis frame)

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR LOWER ARM MOUNTING

BOLTS = 8 - 8.5 Kg-m

2. Tighten lower armmounting nut to specified torque.

(Thus securing lower arm to steering knuckle)

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR LOWER ARM MOUNTING

NUT = 6.5 - 7 Kg-m

3. Mount wheel(s) and tighten wheel bolts to specified

torque.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR WHEEL BOLTS = 8 - 8.3

Kg-m

4. Remove supports. Cross check each bolts for

correct torque and then lower the vehicle.
