2. Insert the clip to lock the clutch cable with the
firewall.
Fitment:
Precautions:
•
Ensure that grease is applied at pedal holding
hook.
•
Ensure clutch cable roller is free to rotate and then
assemble the cable into the hook.
•
Ensure that there is no sharp bend in the cable in
routed condition, There is sufficient clearance be-
tween clutch cable & exhaust manifold.
•
Ensure clutch cable is free at clutch release lever.
•
Ensure that cable heat shield is in place
.
1. First lock the clutch cable with clutch pedal lever.
3. Pass the clutch cable from underside of the body
by placing the clips in there respective position,
but do not tighten the bolts.
5. Tighten all the bolts with the body so that clutch
cable remains firm in its position.
NOTE:
Marking on the cable has to be matched with the
clamps, when the cables are replaced.
4. Now lock the clutch cable at the transaxle end by
putting the pin (1) in its position & then tighten the
nut (2) as described.
a) Push the lever towards clutch cable mounting
bracket by hand until resistance is felt.
b) Tighten the lock nut by hand till touches the pin.
c) Adjust the clutch cable lock nut such that free
play 2.5 to 3 mm.
d) Check the free play of 15 to 20 mm by pressing
clutch pedal by finger until the resistance felt.
