2.5 DIAGNOSTIC USER MANUAL

GENERAL

Electronic power assist steering (EPAS) comprises of Electronic Control Unit (ECU), sensors, actuators and

control algorithms that determine the performance of the EPAS as a whole and as part of the vehicle.

SALIENT FEATURES

The Diagnostic Tester software for Nano EPAS is capable to communicate with ECU in the vehicle through

CAN Interface. The tester comprises of an Interface Unit and custom built application software. The user

friendly application software can be easily installed on Windows Desktop or Laptop.

The interface unit is lightweight and compact in size to facilitate easy portability. It works on vehicle battery

supply.

The tester application executes Below commands supported by Nano EPAS ECU, which helps in diagnosis

of Nano EPAS ECU.

Following service are provided by the Diagnostic Tester application:

1. Read ECU Identification data

2. Read Vehicle parameters

3. Reading and clearing DTCs
