3. Install the shifter sleeve on the intermediate shaft
through disconnect housing window while align-
ing with the splines on it.
NOTE
Shaft splines and shifter sleeve must be free from
foreign particles and burr

Install the synthetic bush in the bore of axle shaft
with the help of special tool
(Part
No.287058903308)
NOTE
The pressing force on the bush should not be too
high otherwise it can damage the bush.
5. Insert the Thrust washers in the sequence oppo-
site to removal in the disconnect housing and
insert the axle shaft through the bearing from
wheel end side of the disconnect housing.
6. Now install the circlip on the axle shaft with the
help of circlip pressing tool.
7. Ensure there should not be excessive play be-
tween two shafts. This affects the disconnect
operation.
NOTE
The front axle mounting bushes are press fitted and
can be removed by pushing the bush using suitable
press.
! CAUTION
While removing or fitting the bush from a beam, en-
sure that the axle beam is properly supported.
