INSTALLATION 1. Clean speed sensor and its mounting surface. 2. Route the cable properly. 3. Install the wiring harness connector with wheel speed sensor cable. 4. Make sure that the sensor cable connector is fully seated and locked into vehicle wiring harness connector. 5. Insert the sensor into the sensor mounting hole and tighten the bolt to the specified torque (0.8 – 1.0 Kg-M). 6. Check the air gap between the face of the wheel speed sensor and the top surface of the toner wheel. 7. Clear all fault codes and road test the vehicle to ensure proper operation of the brake system. D. REMOVAL AND REFITMENT OF TMC & BOOSTER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL 1. Position vehicle on two post lift and disconnect battery. 2. Drain brake oil. 3. Disconnect the electrical connector of brake fluid level switch. 4. Disconnect vacuum hose from brake booster. NOTE Before replacing wheel speed sensor, carry out diagnosis of wheel speed sensor. (Refer Troubleshooting and Diagnosis). NOTE Air gap should be 0.5 to 1.5m. NOTE Overhauling of TMC & BOOSTER ASSEMBLY is not recommended. It is recommended to replace TMC and Booster assembly separately whenever required. BRAKE (LR) 39
