C. ON VEHICLE REPAIRS STEERING WHEEL REMOVAL I. 1. Park the car with front wheel in straight ahead position. Apply parking brake and place wheel chokes at rear wheels. 2. Disconnect battery. 3. Insert screw driver into hole from both sides and press to unlock the DAB assembly. 4. Pull out the DAB assembly (In case of Airbag version refer DAB removal procedure in SRS section). 5. Remove the steering wheel nut. 6. Remove steering wheel using steering wheel puller. (Part No. 287158904602) Image for Illustration only INSPECTION: Check for any damage to self-cancellation lugs, if found, replace complete steering wheel WARNING Before removing steering wheel make alignment marks on the steering wheel and the shaft for guiding during reinstallation. CAUTION Care should be taken such that self- • cancellation lugs do not get damaged (self-cancellation lugs are shown in below figure with arrows). STEERING_MANDO 9
